2014年5月12日，上午10点钟整，我园举行了隆重的剪彩仪式，新加坡高层领导亲自到园参加了本次活动，并且特别邀请了新加坡国际企业发展局副局长、新加坡驻华使馆商务参赞尤善钡先生。新加坡驻厦门总领事馆总领事罗德杰先生。
开幕典礼中厦门市教育局领导、思明区教育局领导及海峡国际社区领导也来我园参加活动。
剪彩仪式后，我们邀请各位嘉宾参观了幼儿园，并介绍了我园的特色课程CMP和WTR，参观完学校后，各位领导一起在草坪上种下了友谊之树——桂花树。桂花，在汉代时期已经成为名贵的花卉与贡品，并成为美好事物的象征，桂花四季常青，花香怡人，也被称为“天香”。
最后，大家还一起欣赏了由中大班孩子带来的小小音乐会表演，本次表演分别由键盘手，乐器手，歌手等组成，在表演中，孩子们分别用马来语和国语为大家表演了“甜蜜蜜”，这首歌的马来语版正是讲述了新加坡与中国的友谊。最后我们的开幕式活动在精美的自助茶点后落下了帷幕。
On 12th May 2014,Kinderland Preschool held its official opening ceremony. Leaders flew speciallyfrom Singaporeto attend this event. The guests-of-honour Mr. Yew Sung Pei (Assistant ChiefExecutive Officer of International Enterprise Singapore,Commercial Counsellor of Singapore Embassy in China),Mr. Loh Tuck Keat (Singapore Consulate General in Xiamen) were specially invited as well. At10:00am, the event started with the ribbon-cutting ceremony by theguests-of-honour.
Among the guestswere leaders from the Xiamen Ministry of Education and Straits InternationalCommunity.
After theribbon-cutting ceremony, the guests were brought for a tour around the schooland were introduced to the school's special music and computer program (CMP andWTR). After the tour, the guests-of-honour proceeded to plant an Osmanthus treein the school compound. The Osmanthus tree was specially selected as it hasauspicious meaning and is also known as ‘Divine Fragrance.’
The guests were then invited to watch a special music performance prepared bythe K1 and K2 children. There werekeyboardists, percussionists, and singers. They performed a Malay and Chineserendition of a song called 'Dayung Sampan,' depicting the friendship between Singapore and China. The event ended with somelight refreshments specially prepared for the guests.
